Our Philosophy of Food
We strive to serve food that is seasonally fresh, locally grown, nutritious and delicious. We support growers and purveyors of food whose practices are environmentally conscious and economically viable, while reducing our dependency on products that damage our earth. By taking these actions, we hope to contribute to an enriched and aware environment in our workplace and in the community beyond. Hearty, well-balanced meals are prepared three times daily and served in our main dining room.
Special Dietary Needs
Our well-balanced meals include a good variety of foods from which to choose, including fruits and vegetables, soups and salads. If you require special food preparation, we do have small kitchenettes equipped with microwave ovens and small refrigerators on each residence floor available for your use. There is also a health food store about one mile from our location. Unfortunately, our food service department cannot meet the needs of special diets.
Overnight accommodations include 90 bedrooms in a quiet and informal community setting. Each single-occupancy bedroom is furnished with a writing table and a comfortable chair for study or reflection. For groups with larger numbers or different needs, special arrangements can be made with local hotels. Our meeting rooms comfortably serve groups of varying sizes and space needs, from four to 250 people. Facilities include an auditorium, large gathering rooms, and intimate breakout rooms. We can provide a range of multimedia, presentation and other equipment needed for meetings. Internet access is also available.
