A series of events at Mercy Center

1:00 to 2:30 pm, all are welcome


The Sisters of Mercy invite you to a year of special gatherings to enable Outreach and Solidarity with our neighbors who are suffering hate crimes, discrimination, and fear of deportation. During this year-long program we will highlight the sacredness of each member of the human family in our global village.

This year-long program has a threefold focus.

Education about Islam

Join us for talks by Imam Hafiz M.K. Siddiqi, Ph.D. who has taught Introduction to Islam for non-Muslim and Muslim students at the Graduate Theological Union and currently teaches Islamic Studies at Ohlone, Chabot and Mission Colleges

Prayer for Peace in our Global Village

Gather in prayer with people of many faith traditions, joining in solidary with various paths of spiritual expression.

Relationship Building: Let's Talk and Listen

This program, facilitated by Joy Andrews Hayter, Ph.D and Catherine Regan, Ph.D, will be an opportunity to address issues of common interests and concern in small groups comprised of people with different views and life experiences.
