This one-day retreat explores the soul’s journey and how to follow this thread amidst the distractions and distortions of today’s world. Every soul has its own unique path to follow, its destiny to unfold, and yet there are also common qualities that distinguish its path from the life of the ego, signs to guide us:

Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee, Ph.D. is a Sufi teacher and author of several books including Prayer of the Heart in Christian and Sufi Mysticism. He was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey as part of her Super Soul Sunday Series.


In recent years, the focus of his writing and teaching has been on Spiritual Ecology. He edited and published the anthology, Spiritual Ecology: The Cry of the Earth.

The Golden Sufi Center will respond to applications within 10-15 business days. Confirmed applicants will receive a link to pay the nonrefundable registration fee, and information about how to reserve overnight accommodation.

Confirmed applicants who wish to stay at Mercy Center on Friday June 22, Saturday June 23, or both nights, will receive further information with notification of acceptance. Overnight accommodation can only be booked after receipt of confirmation and payment of the retreat registration fee. Mercy Center staff will manage all overnight room reservations for confirmed applicants.

Check-in at front desk. Parking is limited; carpooling is requested.

10:00 am - 12:30 pm

Talk and questions. Please arrive early; talk begins promptly at 10:00.

12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Lunch, time for reflection; enjoy the gardens, labyrinth and paths.

2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Meditation and discussion with a tea break after meditation.
