Are you searching for a sense of meaning? Are you looking for a deeper sense of spirituality in your everyday life?

Sacred Presence is a method of spiritual reflection developed by Donata Schoeller and Mary A. DuQuaine. The method utilizes Focusing, spiritual texts, journaling, and simple practices in a small group setting.

We encourage the participants to read the text with their body, attending to subtle shifts and the experience of the felt sense which occurs within while listening to the text being read aloud.
This method of spiritual reflection aims to help each person find the presence of God, self, and others in little ways... and to create and nurture sacred space in everyday life.

For this session, we will read passages from Teresa of Avila’s Interior Castle

I began to think of the soul as if it were a castle made of a single diamond or of a very clear crystal, in which there are many rooms, just as in heaven there are many mansions. – Teresa of Avila

Note: There is no need to do any pre-reading of the text in order to participate each week. Reading the whole text is optional.

Live Online Zoom Video Conference and online small groups. A computer with a video camera is suggested for this series of meetings. Zoom by telephone may also be used.

Meetings will take place on Wednesday mornings from 10:00-11:30 a.m.

June 3, June 10, June 17, June 24, July 1 and July 8
