Mercy Center is an internationally known retreat and conference center in the San Francisco Bay Area. We offer training and formation programs in meditation, spirituality, and spiritual direction. We host up to 100 overnight guests and up to 400+ people for conferences and events. Our programs are offered in-person and online.

Retreat Center Night Receptionist

JOB PURPOSE: 

To provide both receptionist and administrative support to Mercy Center Burlingame. Work hours include both 2nd and 3rd shift work and some weekends. Covers night-hour reception services and offers a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for our guests and the Mercy campus community. Completes administrative tasks to support the needs of Mercy Center and the Director.

All of our staff members help to provide Mercy Hospitality to our guests.

R&R Specialists: Tai Chi, Qigong, Yoga, Leadership Embodiment, Massage, Healing Touch

These positions are responsible for teaching/offering R&R programing and services to guests in one (or more) of the following areas:

  • Personal Growth: Creative Expression, Mindfulness, Spiritual Practices, Relationships, Leadership Embodiment, Interpersonal Communication
  • Health and Wellness: Massage, Healing Touch, Yoga, Embodied Practices: Yoga, Qi Gong, Tai Chi, etc…

Program Assistant

JOB PURPOSE: 

The Program Assistant will assist the Director of Mercy Center Burlingame in creating and providing spiritual content utilizing a variety of media (text, video, audio, image) for our online and in-person programs and retreats. Responsibilities include administrative duties as well as implementing our social media strategy in order to help build community online and attract individuals and groups to attend and hold events at Mercy Center.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of personal/spiritual growth and development with a true passion for a sustainable, spiritual, and healthy lifestyle.  Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills with a stellar ability to collaborate with a team, as well as provide the necessary leadership for problem-solving and building community. 

Must be comfortable and courageous in navigating emergent technology and software including: WordPress, learning platforms, authoring and design programs, Zoom, MS Office/Teams, and Google Workspace. Excellent verbal and written communication and copy writing skills in English (required), Spanish and/or Mandarin/Cantonese is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organization. Teaching, mentoring and/or coaching, and sales experience are a plus. Ability to manage & prioritize the deadlines and deliverables of projects, and be comfortable in a constantly evolving environment of rapid change.
